The European Investigative Journalism Conference

Dataharvest grants for low-income countries and exiled journalists

Would you like to participate in Dataharvest – but you don’t really have the money? If you are from a low-income country in Europe, you may be in luck: We have a number of participation grants to give out, thanks to the Norwegian foundation Fritt Ord (Free Word)!

The grants are also available for journalists in exile.

We will distribute the grants between as many countries as possible. We also strive for balance between young and experienced journalists, male and female, with and without cross-border experience.

Please note: We define “low-income countries” as countries with an net average monthly salary of less than €1,500.

The grant will cover the participation fee, travel to Mechelen, hotel accomodation and meals, maximum €1200. Travel and hotel will be organised for the grantees, and you will receive a lump sum to cover meals, local transport and other minor expenses.
