The European Investigative Journalism Conference

Send us your pitches – spring call for proposals open!

Dataharvest preliminary programme is out – and we have just opened another call for proposals! At this point, we are only able to accept a very limited number of pitches (for approximately ten time slots left to complete the programme). We kindly ask you to check out the published version of the preliminary programme before sending your proposal. We will not be able to accept your proposal if it is too similar to the sessions that are already on the programme.

You can send us your session ideas until Friday, 11 April (the call will close on 11 April 23:59 CET).

What type of pitches are we looking for at this point?

  • New cross-border investigations, big and small, published since our last call for applications, closed in January, or yet to be published, before the conference date. We are especially interested in the investigations on topics that are underrepresented in our programme so far:
  • Interesting national investigations that have the potential to be replicated in another country;
  • Unconventional storytelling examples (not necessarily tech- or data-or anything digital-related; it could be a comic book, an offline storytelling method, or whatever creative format you used);
  • If you published or plan to publish a data story before Dataharvest and would like to share a useful or experimental method of collecting or analysing data, pitch us as well!

You can pitch your session via this form.

Also, please check out our general pitching guidelines here before submitting your pitch. Please note that we will only get back to you, if we have accepted/shortlisted your proposal.
