The European Investigative Journalism Conference

Q&A about Dataharvest postponement

Where and when will the postponed conference take place?

Dataharvest – the European Investigative Journalism Conference 2020 is postponed to Thursday November 5th until Sunday November 8th. As usual, Thursday will be reserved for Master Classes, the Dataharvest Hack Day and specialised seminars, the conference will open on Friday morning and run until Sunday noon. The venue will be the Thomas More School Campus de Vest in Mechelen.

What if I cannot join in November, can I leave my ticket to someone else?

Yes, we can transfer your ticket to another name without any costs. Please send a mail to media@journalismarena.eu.

If I cannot join in November, can I or my employer get the registration fee back?

You can cancel the ticket and get the fee back (except the 25 per cent cancellation fee). But please consider that the conference needs your support. The costs of moving the conference will not be covered by any crisis support package. Please try if you can transfer your ticket to a colleague (see above), before claiming the money back.

I have booked hotel and travel already, what about that?

You may be able to cancel or re-book – that depends on your insurance and the restrictions on the specific reservation. You will have to clarify that with your insurance or travel agency.

Whom do I turn to with further questions?

You write to media@journalismarena.eu
