The European Investigative Journalism Conference

FAQ

We are looking forward to welcoming you at Dataharvest- The European Investigative Journalism Conference 2025 on May 23-25 in Mechelen!

Can I still buy a ticket?

The conference has been sold out since January. You can join the waiting list – it’s the only way to secure a spot if any tickets free up. However, you should know that if you’re just about to join the waiting list, it’s unlikely that enough tickets will free up for you to get one. At this point (mid-April) there are over 200 people on the waiting list!

Can I still send you a proposal for the session?

You can always try but it’s unlikely that we can include your idea in the programme. We’ve had two calls for proposals, both are now closed, and our programme is almost finalised.

When does the conference start?

The official programme of the conference starts on Friday, 23 May 2025, in the morning, and ends on 25 May 2025 around lunch. The conference doors open each day at 09:00 am. Please arrive on time and enjoy a coffee or tea before the first sessions begin at 9:30/10:00 am (depending on the day, please check the programme).

All the participants will need to check in at the arrival, so please have your ticket ready for scanning. If you are in Mechelen early, you can also come by the school on 22 May and register until 4pm, to avoid waiting in line on Friday morning.  All other attendees can register upon arrival at the Thomas More Journalism School on 23 or 24 May.

Master-class participants should register in the morning of 22 May.

You can find the programme online, but we recommend using the Sched app (iOS, Android) to be able to follow any changes during the event.
