With just over a month to go until Dataharvest 2018 begins we are planning a set of “lightning talks”, and we need your pitches.
Lightning talks are quick-fire mini lectures which last no more than 5 minutes. That’s a perfect length for getting one’s idea or message across. You may have a lesson you learned and want to share; a technique, perhaps; a project or news story you’ve done; a problem you solved. We would love you to bring an idea and take part.
The themes we are looking for but (but are not limited to) are: technical, storytelling, coding, new programmes, new stories, hurdles overcome, projects involving data and journalism. 5 minutes is also a good length if you have never spoken at Dataharvest before – so don’t be shy, offer up an idea or two. If you haven’t done one before, don’t worry, there’s a first time for everything. One of our team will give you help and support to enable you to make the best impact possible in your 5 minutes.
